The most extraordinary thing about the Design Museum is the incredible sense of disorientation, that “Alice – In – Wonderland” sense that even the smallest, most mundane details of life have all been switched around. For us getting lost in a strange place isn’t necessarily a bad thing. We like the sense of being cut off from the predictable world of my everyday life, immersed in the strangeness of the new, the old and the undiscovered. This “wonderland” sense is what we based the logo and branding on producing a minimalist but unique custom typeface for the logo and colourful inviting style of design elements to back it.

The mix of black, white and colour through out the brand was inspired by the long history of Alice and wonderland, this iconic story is one that never gets left behind, with so many renditions been told you get that incredible mixture of old and new coming together just like the many design elements within the museum.

The multiple colours are also used to compliment the playfulness of this wonderland brand and help distinguish the vast categories of design, giving them their own specific colours allows the brand to separate each group without changing the brands whole identity.
